The paper has been embossed with a Creative Expressions folder called 'Lattice'. The ribbon, with strawberries on it, though you can't see the strawberries on the photo, is from Hobbycraft. I was given the fruit stamp a few years ago and had never used it until a couple of months ago when I used it for the first time for another challenge card. I've used Spellbinders dies to cut the pale blue Papermill card and the stamped image, which was coloured with Promarkers. I hand wrote the sentiment! :(

I haven't even got the will to go blog hopping so I'll catch up with you all soon, I hope. Take care and stay happy.

Less is More Week 23

The LIM Challenge, Week 23, is a one layer card on the theme Something with Legs. I've used a Stitchybear digi of a picnic table. To be able to print it direct to card I had to use a much cheaper version of card than usual because my HP printer doesn't like thick card! I cut it to DL size to follow the lines of the table. I coloured the digi with Promarkers and generated the sentiment on the computer. The African daisies stamped down the side are from a Tapestry set and I used the gold coloured Promarker.

The LOTV sentiment is stamped in Versacolor ink on to a lacey nestie. Pink feathers from Create and Craft are to the right and the pink pearls are from WOC. I think this would be a card for a little girl!!

I have no idea where I got the silver card that I used for the scalloped nestie. The grey roses are by WOC. The 'stitching' comes into it from a silver embroidered flower vine. I bought some of these in America a few years ago and have used them a lot.

I embossed it with the Creative Expressions crackle folder and sanded it, before fixing with We R Memory Keepers eyelets. The image is a Stitchybear digi and I've coloured it with Promarkers and distressed it with Distress Ink. The sentiment was generated on the computer.
It's also entered in OSAAT challenge - use a digi

Week 22

The Less is More Challenge this week is Shades of Blue. I've got the shades and I've got the blues! The card blank is a scalloped one from Craft UK. I drew the shades in pencil and coloured with Promarkers in Blue Pearl, China Blue and Sky Blue. The sentiment was generated on the computer in shades of blue and is backed with a Spellbinders nestie in blue Mirri board.

Crafty Sentiments

The Crafty Sentiments Challenge this week is Christmas in June. Now I thought this challenge should include Santa in shorts or carol singers on the beach but all the DT cards showed a 'normal' type Christmas card so that's what I've done eventually. The card blank is, as usual, by Craft UK and the silver card is from Create and Craft. The Crafty Sentiments digi, Charles Bear, is coloured with Promarkers and set on a Spellbinders nestie with a red Mirri board nestie behind. I've used two rub ons by Karen Foster - Naughty or Nice and Santa's coming - I've had these for a few years but can't remember buying them so maybe I won them in a competition. The little stocking tag is tied with a red organza ribbon, both from my stash. Charles Bear is in the bath and the bubbles and water are coloured with the Aqua Promarker and then covered with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen in a silvery colour. It looks quite effective IRL but doesn't show up so well on the photo.

Celebrate Red White and Blue

I've had a busy few days gardening and I've been absolutely shattered but I'm back to my crafting and my garden is all neat and tidy. The first card I've made today is to cover two challenges. The card blank is by Craft UK and the backing paper is a digi from Stitchybear. The navy blue backing card is by Papermill and I've used red Mirri board as the backing for the Spellbinders nesties. The sentiment was generated on the computer. The buttons are from Create and Craft and the image is one of my favourite LOTV stamps. It was stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Promarkers.
